  • Sydney’s Au.Ra, a duo composed of Tim Jenkins and Tom Crandles, are set to release their debut full length on Los Angeles label felte.   • Rye Coalition – The Story Of The Hard Luck 5 is coming to DVD and digital formats on January 13, 2015. The film is an intimate and fiery documentary tracing the 20-year rise and fall of the NJ band and features Dave Grohl, Steve Albini, Jon Theodore (Queens of the Stone Age), Tim Green (Nation of Ulysses), Jared Warren (Melvins), + Allison Wolfe (Bratmobile). A release party featuring a live performance by Rye Coalition is scheduled for WFMU’s Monty Hall on Saturday, December 13th at 7PM.
  • Melbourne, Australia’s Dead City Ruins have announced that they’ll be releasing a new self-titled album, the follow-up to their 2011 debut album “Midnight Killer,” on January 20th via Metalville Records.
  • German’s progressive metal supergroup, Alkaloid have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo.com to fund their debut album The Malkuth Grimoire. The band includes current and former members of Necrophagist, Obscura, Spawn of Possession, Aborted, Dark Fortress, God Dethroned, Blotted Science and Noneuclid.
  • Roadkill Ghost Choir have released a video for their song “Down & Out.” The video, directed by Micah Weisburg, features a montage of a variety of artful images that show off some impressive and artful cinematography to highlight and bring out new emotional resonance in the song. Andy Shepard of the band commented, “Our friend Micah [Weisburg] shot this video – the song reminded him of wandering the streets late at night.”
