Doomsday Student Share First Track from Forthcoming Album

Providence, RI quartet Doomsday Student (ex-Arab On Radar, Chinese Stars) share the first track from their forthcoming album via Impose Magazine. The song “Lifeboat Blues” is available to stream/share. Doomsday Student also take to the road in October, touring the west coast with Retox and Hot Nerds.

In the unhinged tradition of Providence, RI’s art damaged music scene, Doomsday Student — featuring Eric Paul (of Arab On Radar, The Chinese Stars), Stephen Mattos (of Arab On Radar, Athletic Automaton), Craig Kureck (of Arab On Radar, The Chinese Stars), & Paul Vieira (of The Chinese Stars) — caterwauls like four refrigerators dropped down an elevator shaft.

As drums push the music forward, spiraling guitars and crazed singing use the tools of rock to dismantle it, to make an alarm of rock, to simultaneously make songs with hooks and riffs and all that sh*t & also these little splitting-off universes of paranoia, hysteria and the ecstasy only exploding people truly feel.

Doomsday Student’s (ahem) sophomore album A Walk Through Hysteria Park will be available on limited edition colored vinyl and download on October 21st via Three.One.G Records.
