Quick Hits: Gob, Noisey’s Made In America, Disparager, The White Buffalo

  • Canadian pop punk band Gob is currently streaming their sixth studio album, Apt. 13, in its entirety. Apt. 13 will be available everywhere Tuesday, August 26th on New Damage Records. This will be Gob’s first full length album release in seven years, returning after their 2007 album, Muertos Vivos.
  • Noisey is proud to present the Philadelphia Episode of its Made In America series, directed by acclaimed filmmaker and music video director Lance Bangs. For the series, Noisey and Budweiser traveled the country to speak with world famous and locally adored artists, including Nelly, Ben Gibbard, and Danny Brown, and explored the cities that made them.
  • Brooklyn, NY’s Disparager has teamed up with GearGods.net for the premiere of their new drum play through for their track ‘Pictures’ off their latest EP ‘Timeless, Ageless’ produced by Jay Maas (Defeater, Bane, H2O, American Nightmare, Polar Bear Club).
  • On August 26th, The White Buffalo will make his late night TV performance debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live, in support of his latest album Shadows, Greys, and Evil Ways (Unison Music Group). NPR All Songs Considered has called songwriter Jake Smith “an amazing storyteller” and the album traces the life story of Joey White, a small town outsider who goes to war and returns home only to find more violence as he struggles to readjust to a life away from the front lines and reconcile with the girl he left behind. The album (released in September of 2013) debuted in the Top 10 on Billboard’s New Artist Chart and has spawned multiple singles and placements including Sons of Anarchy and more.
