Quick Hits: Vaporland, Tee Pee Records, Juan Wauters, Sweet Apple

  • Check out the new Vaporland (with members from TAD, the Fluid and Love Battery) video. They just released a new album available through Strange Earth Records.
  • Tee Pee Records has announced skateboards by Earthless, Witch, Graveyard, High On Fire, The Shrine and Hot Lunch from 1939 Skates. The skateboards are limited stock that won’t last long.
  • At the start of this year Juan Wauters released his solo debut album N.A.P. North American Poetry and has been on the road touring ever since. Though busy touring, with the help of long-time collaborator Matt Volz, he did find some time to create a video for “Goo,” a cut from N.A.P. Shot in his home borough of Queens, “Goo” is an ode to all the great Hip Hop videos from “Make it or Break it,” a series distributed on VHS that invited fans to call in and rank their entries by voting “Make it” or “Break it.”
  • Sweet Apple, the band of rockers featuring J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr., Heavy Blanket), Tim Parnin (Cobra Verde, Chuck Mosley), John Petkovic (Cobra Verde, Death of Samantha, Guided By Voices) and Dave Sweetapple (Witch, Vardlokk) have released the third music video from their new LP The Golden Age of Glitter, for the song “Let’s Take the Same Plane,” directed by Petkovic. Dangerous Minds has premiered the new music video. Stream The Golden Age of Glitter in full at RollingStone.com.
