Quick Hits: Cut Copy, Minot, Team Spirit, Tomboy, Burn Halo

  • Cut Copy released a new video this past week for their latest single, ‘Meet Me in a House of Love.’ The band will be releasing a deluxe edition of their album “Free Your Mind” on July 22nd. It features five previously unreleased tracks.
  • Earlier this week Minot premiered another new track of their upcoming album. In the words of Minot’s Matthew Solberg: “This one will most likely stress you out.”
  • Team Spirit have shared “Teenage Heart,” the first single off of their debut LP Killing Time, which they’ve announced is set for a September 30th release via VICE / Warner Bros. Records. The band has also shared a lyric video for the newly released track.
  • Tomboy, the Brooklyn duo of Sarah Aument and William Shore, have been slowly revealing pieces of their forthcoming self-titled debut EP and this week they share the video for “Hang Out.” Direct by Shore’s brother Andrew McIntyre, the video’s dark hue offers a complex contrast to the duo’s self-proclaimed “most straightforward love song.” Coming up next for Tomboy is two New York shows. This month, on the 30th, they will perform with Beat Connection at School Night at Brooklyn Bowl and then next month at Neon Gold’s Popshop at Westway on the 24th.
  • Burn Halo have announced a September 23rd release for their upcoming new album “Wolves of War” through via Epochal Label Group. The album is the follow-up to their 2011 sophomore effort “Up From the Ashes.” In anticipation of the album release, Burn Halo have also premiered their video for the album’s title track “Wolves of War.”
