Beat Connection Premiere “Hesitation” Song, Summer Tour Dates

Seattle, WA’s Beat Connection premiered their new single “Hesitation” via Consequence of Sound. Recorded and produced by the band at Airport Oasis and Aurora Zone in their hometown, and mastered by Joe Zaporta (tUnE-yArDs, Beach House, Vampire Weekend), the song marks Beat Connection’s first release since their 2012 debut album Palace Garden, released by Tender Age Records. The band also took to the airwaves recently via KEXP (Seattle) to debut “Hesitation” at radio.

Beat Connection are confirmed to play a number of shows this summer, beginning with a June 19th show at Holocene in Portland, OR. The quartet will also hit Los Angeles for a show at Bardot on June 23rd and Brooklyn, NY at Brooklyn Bowl on June 30th (both School Night shows that are free with RSVP below). Later this summer and into the fall, Beat Connection will perform at both the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle on July 24th and at the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, TX over October 10-12th.

Initially formed as a duo to DJ house parties and underground art shows, Beat Connection self-released their Surf Noir EP as a free download in 2010. The EP garnered the band positive press from The Guardian (UK) and Pitchfork, and saw the band tour Europe and share the stage with notable artists including Toro y Moi and STRFKR. Palace Garden followed two years later and the band has since matured into its final form as today’s four piece indie-pop outfit made up of Tom Eddy (vocals, guitar), Mark Hunter (bass), Jarred Katz (drums) and Reed Juenger (synths, samples). In the past couple years, Beat Connection have shared the stage with Washed Out, Holy Ghost! and ODESZA, and performed at the Bumbershoot and CHBP festivals.
